4 Interesting Projects We’ve Recently Been Part Of

We love helping you transform barriers into base.

In all our years at Texas Rock Milling, we have been part of some incredible projects. It’s true that the majority of our projects include preparation for the foundation to be laid of future homes and businesses, or clearing brush and barriers to provide more usable land.

But there are a lot of other things we can, and have, done! Here are just a few highlights of some interesting projects we have recently been part of:

1) Retention Pond in Boerne, TX

A retention pond is a must-have for any neighborhood that experiences heavy rainfall. You may also know it by its other name–detention pond. It serves to protect neighborhoods from flooding by holding water in times of heavy rains. Then, the pond will slowly release its stored water.

This helps control erosion and protect nearby properties from costly water damage. An added perk of retention ponds is that they improve water quality by filtering pollutants and sediments before the water is discharged into nearby streams and rivers!

Our team got to help dig and clear the path for this pond to be created to support a community in Boerne, Texas.

2) Excavating a Wine Cellar

This homeowner is quite the wine connoisseur and when they made plans for their new build, they knew they had to have a wine cellar included.

We were thrilled to be able to carve out the future location of this wine cellar.

Can you imagine hosting dinner parties and sharing this wonderful build with your closest friends? We can!

3) Tesla Roof in San Antonio

How cool is it that one of the projects we worked on recently included the site of the very FIRST Tesla roof in San Antonio?!

Tesla’s solar panels offer a sustainable way to power a house using energy from the sun. This residence in the Stone Oak area is currently under construction, but our team got to lay the groundwork for this build.

It was so exciting to be a part of this project!

4) Road Creation & Refurbishment

Many people know that we lay the foundation for new builds, whether that’s commercial or residential, but did you know that most weeks we are working on road creation and refurbishment projects?

Living in the rugged Hill Country, we are familiar with winding dirt roads and treacherous driveways after heavy rain. Over time, the weather and regular use can chip away at roads and driveways, making them unsafe to travel on.

Every time we create access where there previously was none, we see another community connected.

No matter if we are clearing the way for a future build, creating new roads where there previously was none, helping protect communities with retention ponds, or whatever you can dream up for your next home build, we can’t wait to make it possible! We’ve taken on numerous projects just like these and love applying our expertise to unique projects we have never done before as well.

The best way to know if we can help is to ask. We can help tame the rugged land to pave the way for your dreams!
